When vampires become a big problem, scientists found a way out. They invented an artificial blood. Now, vampires have not to kill people to quench the hunger. After they knew how to live without attacking people the vampire society had risen, and they came out of their dungeons. They declare they can live among people freely now. But not the whole people want to have such neighbors and not the whole vampires like the blood surrogate. Sookie works as a waitress in one of the town bars. The girl is not so ordinary. She has a congenital telepathic ability, and she dates vampire. Although many do not like such alliance, but they help to unfold the most complex crimes because of their abilities.
